Ostara, also known as Eostre, is one of the eight Pagan and Wiccan Sabbats. Ostara is the celebration of the Spring Equinox which occurs sometime between March 19th the 23rd. Most often, Ostara traditional celebrations take place on March 21st.Â
Ostara is the name of the Goddess of Spring, Dawn, and Fertility. Her name translates to “East”, from where the Sun rises.
This holiday is traditionally celebrated by gathering with friends and family, having a feast, dancing around a Birch tree, painting eggs, planting your garden, and spring cleaning.
